Obituary

Etoria Norton Waldon, 100, peacefully made her transition on July 6, 2015. She was born to Willis U. and Mary (Agee) Norton in Mobile, Alabama, both of whom preceded her in death.

Etoria attended Rentie Grove School in Jenks and joined the Rentie Grove Church at an early age.

In 1931, she met and married Homer Waldon, with whom she remained until his death in 1968; no children were born to this union. Etoria was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church family for over 70 years. She belonged to the Metropolitan Usher Board and was an active member for over 50 years. She also belonged to the Metro Mission Group.

Etoria was preceded in death by her husband Homer T. Waldon, both her parents, seven brothers and four sisters. She leaves to cherish affectionate memories her sisters Mildred Norton Graves and Betty Jean Norton Barnes, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also leaves a host of relatives and friends.

The Norton family would like to thank the Ambassador Manor Care Center, Transition Hospice and the Metropolitan Baptist Church family. We would like to thank all of those who offered prayers and support through our bereavement.
