Eula Mae Maxwell went home to her Lord October 18, 2024. She celebrated her 101st birthday on July 24. Eula was born in Hyde Park, OK, near Muskogee, to John and Clara Winford.

Eula married Buddie Maxwell on February 6, 1943 in Spiro, OK while he was on leave from the US Army. The ceremony was performed by the local grocery store butcher. Eula was baptized June 27, 1958.

During World War II, Eula worked at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City for Douglas Aircraft Company making C37 parts. Buddie was in the Pacific. After the war, Eula was a housewife and mom in Tulsa. After her last daughter graduated from high school in 1971, Eula worked for Continental Industries operating a drill press in the shop. When she hurt her hand she became the front office receptionist. She retired in 1991 after 20 years.

Eula especially enjoyed spending time at Grand Lake. She and Buddie built several cabins around the lake and often entertained friends and family.

Eula became active at Eastland Baptist Church after Buddie passed away in 2005. She loved the church fellowship and particularly Senior Haven. At one time Eula was the Wii Bowling champion of Senior Haven.

Eula is preceded in death by her husband Buddie and her oldest daughter Linda Cates. She is survived by daughter Patty Davis and husband John and by granddaughter Tanya Fore and husband Eric and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Thursday evening October 24 at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Chapel from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service is Friday October 25 at Moore Funeral Home at 1:00pm.
