Evelyn "Lorene" Webster, age 96, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Born on December 27, 1928, in Weleetka, Oklahoma, Lorene lived a long, faith-filled life defined by service, devotion, and a selfless love for her family.
Lorene was the beloved daughter of John Ford and Alberta Ross. From early on, she demonstrated a quiet strength and a generous heart that remained constant throughout her life. She built a respected career as a medical office manager, where her professionalism, compassion, and attentiveness to others reflected both her work ethic and her character.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Walter Thomas Webster, Jr, her cherished baby brothers, Edwin and Jerry Porter, as well as her beloved grandson, Rusty.
A faithful and active member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church in Tulsa, Lorene's life was firmly rooted in her faith. She loved the Lord deeply and lived her beliefs through service, prayer, and generosity. She volunteered faithfully at her church and was known as a woman whose quiet actions spoke powerfully of her devotion to Christ. Lorene loved hymns and worship and proudly lifted her voice in praise, joyfully singing to the Lord and sharing her voice with her church family.
Family was the center of Lorene's earthly joy. She is survived by her three children: Sandra Kane, Walter Webster III and Gemy Coates. Her grandchildren-Cole, Christian and Kaden-were the light of her life. She devoted her time, energy, and heart to them, taking immense pride in their lives and accomplishments.
Near her bedside, Lorene kept a quote that beautifully reflected how she lived:
"My supreme power and desire is to give to my loved ones all that I have."
These words were not merely something she admired-they were the guiding principle of her life. Everything she did was rooted in love, generosity, and the desire to give fully of herself to those she cherished.
Lorene spent her later years in Tulsa, surrounded by family and her church community. She passed quietly, confident in her faith and secure in the promise of eternal life. She is now rejoicing in Heaven, reunited with her husband and loved ones who went before her, and in the presence of her Savior.
Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
Lorene's life was a testament to faith, love, and selfless devotion. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on through her family and the many lives she touched through her kindness and unwavering faith.
