Obituary

Everett Eugene Hauser, born August 16, 1924 in Garber, OK, left to be with his wife of 67 years on January 4, 2019. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lula, his parents, Gottlieb Hauser and Lavina Roush Hall, his brothers, Wilfred Hauser and James Edward Hall, his sister, Norma Jean Hauser and his son in law, John Christman. He is survived by his children, Kathryn Behm, Nancy Christman, Peggy Mockett and husband, Alfred, and his one son, Everett Hauser; five grandchildren, Bryan Mossey, Ken Parker, Gillian Parker, Charlie Christman and Alexander Mockett; his nieces and nephews and his wife's siblings which he considered to be his own brothers and sisters.
Everett moved to Tulsa with his Dad and brother, Wilfred, when he was a young boy. He learned to work hard and value family and friends at an early age. Those values never left him. Everett could fix most anything and when he set his mind on something it was achieved. He graduated from Tulsa's Central High School and was a member of the varsity wrestling squad. He had no training or experience in wrestling but tried out and made the team. He then went on to win the title of Oklahoma State Wrestling Champion at 127lbs. Shortly thereafter he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. When he returned from service, he married his wife, Lula Worth. They needed a place to live so he built a house out of scrap lumber. He had never built a house but that did not stop him. He would continue in that spirit his entire life.
Everett always worked but still found time to become an accomplished bowler. Once again, his dedication and hard work brought him success as he was amongst one of the best bowlers in the Tulsa area. He spent 33 years of his working life with Magic Empire Express retiring with an impeccable record of service.
In his retirement he was known to friends and neighbors as the man to ask when something needed fixing. He worked on lawn mowers, bicycles and most anything with moving parts. If you needed help, Everett would try to help you.
Family mattered most to Everett, a value he hoped would live on in those left behind. He was a man who was loved and will be missed.
