Obituary

Everette H. Beasley entered HOME... HEAVEN on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the age of 92. His favorite phrase for the last year was " I just want to go HOME", and we knew where that was!
Everette was the fourth child, and only son, of Albert and Della Woodard Beasley. He was born September 19, 1926 in the family home outside of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Everette was raised on his mother's Cherokee land of 80 acres north of Tahlequah with his sisters, Arvilla and Mary. He attended Grandview Primary School and graduated from Tahlequah High. He was a part of Civil Air Patrol along with his sister, Arvilla, and thus instilled his desire to work in aviation. All siblings worked at Hinds Store and attended Northeastern. He started
Northeastern College at the cost of $3.10 hour, but because of financial difficulties a paternal uncle, Henry Beasley, loaned him money to finish his degree in Physics and Math knowing full well his nephew had a mathematical brain to go places. After graduation in 1950, he took a teaching position in Noshoba School District in SE Oklahoma for 2 years where he taught high school math, basketball, softball, cheerleading, Home EC and was a Boy Scout leader. Later in life he received his Masters and additional hours from TU, OSU, Southeastern and
Southwestern State Universities, and Washington University at St. Louis. He finished with 30 hours over a doctorate, acquiring an electrical engineering degree.
In 1952, he took a job with Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa as an engineer, driving back and forth from Tahlequah on a gravel Highway 51. It was during this year he met through a friend, Pearlene Click at Tahlequah, who later became his best friend and wife in 1953. They made their home in many towns because of his work with Douglas, Rockwell, Emerson Electric, and McDonnell/Douglas.
His dream job came in 1965 when he was employed with with Rockwell Engineering to work on the Apollo project. He continued this work for 5 years with 35 other engineers in California and Tulsa. But with any government entity, a layoff came Everette returned to his first love....
Teaching. He started at Madison Jr. High 7-9 grade Math and in 1978 he transferred to Memorial High School teaching Algebra and Geometry. He was affectionately known as Mr. B and loved by all! He retired in 1991 when Macular Degeneration started attacking his eyesight. Pearlene and Everette never had children but raised many cats and dogs, along with a few ducks in the basement of their St Louis home! After 60 years of marriage, Pearlene died on June 14, 2014 leaving a grieving husband.
Everette was a Christian and always actively witnessing to his beliefs and in his service to his God and his Savior Jesus Christ. Everette was a prayer warrior and memorized over 70 chapters in the Bible, so that if his sight failed he could quote his favorite scriptures. Everette is survived by his Nieces: Beverly Raley and husband Robert, Sherry Eidson and husband David, and Debbie Cannon. Great Nephews: Carter Raley and wife Monica, Josh Raley and wife Jessica, Matt Eidson and wife Misty, Derick Eidson and wife Kelsey and Great Niece Lisa Cannon. He had 10 great great Nieces and Nephews AND many friends and cousins. Preceded in death by wife Pearlene; parents, Albert and Della; sisters, Mildred (age2), Arvilla and husband Orville Carter, Mary and husband Bob Cannon; nephews, Jim Carter and Richard (Pat) Cannon.
