Faunelle passed from this life on September 27, 2017 in Frisco, Texas. She was born December 25, 1951, in Tulsa Oklahoma to the late Murray J. and Georgetta Stine.
Faunelle graduated from Tahlequah High School and attended Northeastern State University and Tulsa Community College. Her career spanned four decades of retail merchandising of women's fashions. She began her career at Sears and retired as a buyer and personnel shopper from Miss Jackson's of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Faunelle also worked in public relations for Renberg's and Miss Jackson's and was an extraordinary event planner.
She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church and was active in each of the communities in which she lived. Faunelle was a member of the Republican Party and an active participant in Republican Women Groups. Her greatest passion, however, was serving the needs of others who were less fortunate. Faunelle was one of the first participants in Tulsa's First United Methodist Church, Eugene Fields Elementary School Ministry. She also provided funding and labor for the start-up of Restoration Village in Rogers, Arkansas, an organization that breaks the cycle of the abuse of women and children. She continued to contribute to Restoration Village and work on other projects for the less fortunate throughout her life.
Faunelle is survived by her husband, Marion Deaton, her daughter Jacquelyn Guthrie and her husband Jeff of Frisco, Texas, two step daughters: Meredith Deaton and her husband A.J. McCoy of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Laura Henderson and her husband Joe of Fort Worth, Texas, three grandchildren: Hannah, Jack and Hadley Guthrie of Frisco, Texas, her sisters: Lynda Startzman of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Kathy Nelson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, one brother: Michael Stine of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and by nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She was proceeded in death by three brothers: Robert Taylor, Claude Rogers Jr., and James Knox Rogers.
Visitation will be at Moore's Southlawn, Monday October 2 from 5 to 7PM, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 1115 S. Boulder, Tulsa, OK on October 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
