Obituary

TROUTT, Fay H., Jr., passed away peacefully Sunday evening, May 26, 2013 in Tulsa, OK. Born October 23, 1926, the older of two sons of Fay Henry Troutt, Sr. and Margaret Pate Troutt. He grew up in Ponca City until the summer of 1943 when the family moved to Bartlesville.

Fay graduated from College High School in Bartlesville in May, 1944. He immediately enlisted in the United States Army. He began training at OK A&M, Oregon State, Camp Hood, TX, and Camp Pendleton, CA. He then worked for the Army in Paris and Munich.

During the summer of 1949, met his future wife, Mary Louise Carman of Bartlesville. Married October 15, 1950. Fay enjoyed a good joke and always had a quick humorous response. He loved fishing, travel, bridge and reading.
Graduated University of Oklahoma with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and began his career with Cities Service Oil Company. Held a number of Treasurer positions with affiliated pipeline companies, elected Treasurer of Cities Service Oil Company in April, 1972. In 1979 was Director of Domestic Treasury Operations, Assistant Treasurer Cities Service Company.

Fay was a Life Member of Bartlesville Masonic Lodge #284, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Elks Club, Tulsa Petroleum Club, Tulsa Pipeliners, Kiwanis, Planning Executives Institute. He was an active member of Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church. Scout Master at The Kirk for three years for Troop #241.
At OU, Fay affiliated with Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Served in the U. S. Army from June 6, 1944 until November 1946.

Survived by his wife, Mary, and one son, Robert and his wife, Julie of Norman, OK; grandchildren, Amanda Trevino and Adam Troutt; and one great-granddaughter, Jacinda Trevino; Fay?s brother, Dr. Edwin Troutt, wife, Muriel of Pompano Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Carol Balles of Mission Viejo, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by daughter, Mary Elizabeth.

Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Moore?s Southlawn. Memorial service will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, May 31, 2013 at Kirk of the Hills, 4102 East 61st Street, Tulsa, OK 74136. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or to a charity of your choice.
