Fay Norman Larson, age 96, of Tulsa, was born on January 2, 1927, in Montrose, South Dakota, and died on April 4, 2023, at Clarehouse in Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his parents, August Ludwig Larson and Gwendolyn Leota (McMartin) Larson; his brothers, Duane Larson, Russell Larson, and David Larson; and his sister, Elizabeth Darr. Survivors include his wife, Shirley M. Larson; his sons, Dale N. Larson (Nancy) and Gregg D. Larson (Rodna); his grandchildren, Davis Larson, Willy Larson, Mallory Larson, Ansley Larson, and August Larson; his sister, Eileen Keese; his brother, Carl Larson; and his sister, Martha Nelson. He served in the U. S. Army in World War II. He graduated from South Dakota State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, which led to a career in pipeline engineering and construction with companies including Brown & Root, Butler-Culvern, and Williams Brothers, on projects world-wide. He was a member of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. He greeted for many years at the south door and was active in the School of Education and several Sunday School classes at Boston Avenue UMC. He volunteered at Gilcrease Museum and was a member of the Pipeliners Club of Tulsa. He enjoyed traveling world-wide. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. An Inurnment, Celebration of Life, and Reception will be held at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church on Monday, April 17, at 10am, with Reverend David Wiggs presiding and Moore's Funeral Home - Southlawn directing. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren Davis Larson, Willy Larson, Mallory Larson, Ansley Larson, and August Larson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either Boston Avenue United Methodist Church or Clarehouse (clarehouse.org).
