Fletcher Ray Claunch was born on October 26th, 1934 in Cartersville, Oklahoma and passed away on January 3rd, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
His parents, William Floyd Claunch, Sr., Hester Mae Claunch, and brother Floyd Claunch, Jr. preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Myrna Lea Claunch (Wood), his sister, Laura Faye Hartwell (Claunch), his two children Karen Farley (Claunch) and Steven Claunch. Fletcher has five grandchildren Jordan Scofield (Farley), Chase Farley, Tyler Claunch, Morgan Claunch, and Grant Claunch.
Fletcher was a Certified Real Estate Appraiser for 44 years. He was owner and operator of Claunch Appraisal Service where he worked with his wife and son. Fletcher spent time as an owner/broker for Century 21, and also as a Vice President of American Abstract and Title Company during his professional life. His family is what he treasured most in his 82 years and always was his first priority.
Fletcher became a Christian as an adult and was a long time member of Garnett Church of Christ. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and OU Sooners Football fan for the entirety of his life spending lots of time supporting his teams from his favorite chair at home. In his free time he enjoyed vegetable gardening, he was famous for growing top-notch tomatoes. He also enjoyed fishing with his son Steve and hunting with family.
The celebration of his life will take place on Saturday January 7th, 2017 at 1:00 pm Moore's Funeral Home-Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Viewing will be 10AM-8PM, Friday, January 6, 2017 at Moore's Southlawn. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233.
