Florentino "Tino" Bejarano Morales, 91, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Friday, August 21, 2015 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born January 1, 1924 to Maria and Isaac Morales in El Paso, Texas. He attended Bowie High School in El Paso and joined the War II effort in the U.S. Navy in 1943 and served for three years.
He married Eusebia Heredia on October 26, 1947, and their marriage endured until his death.
Tino is survived by daughter, Sylvia Morales and husband, Kent Slabotsky; daughter, Selma Harwell and husband, Jake; daughter, Sonia Lach and husband, Dave; son, Sam Morales; granddaughter, Carin Schoppmeyer and husband, Martin Schoppmeyer Jr.; grandson, Arian Harwell; granddaughter, Alena Harwell; grandson, Kasim Siftar and wife, Amanda; grandsons Simeon Siftar, Daniel Slabotsky, Andrew Morales and Joshua Morales; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Landon and Adriana Siftar.
Tino knew and met the responsibility of supporting his family and worked for American Airlines for 30 years until retiring in the mid-1980s. He loved a fiesta and dancing and never turned anyone down who asked for help. He enjoyed community service and served in the Knights of Columbus and the Hispanic Lions Club of Tulsa, earning the group's highest honor, the Melvin Jones Fellowship.
Viewing will be held from 2:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Chapel, with a Rosary service at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:30 P.M., Wednesday, Aug. 26 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Tulsa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tulsa Metro – McCullough Lions Club.
