Obituary

Floyd E. Poe was born October 18, 1937 to Charles A Poe Sr. and Mabel (Kueck) Poe in Osceola, Missouri. Floyd passed away January 14, 2021 in Morehead City, North Carolina.

Floyd grew up on a farm in Osceola, Missouri. He attended and graduated high school at Osceola High School. He married Patricia Slichenmyer and from that union, had two daughters, Toni and Pamela. Later he married Patsy Holmes Tennyson; they were married till she preceded him in death.

Floyd served our country in the military in the Navy/Marines. After coming home, he worked for Rockwell as a machinist. Other jobs were: Bail Bondsman, Deputy Sheriff, security for Roy Clark Ranch, Wonder Bread dock supervisor, owning a business, plumbing, heating and air, Bug man, flea market, liquor store, night club and golf store.

Floyd was well known for being a Shriner that helps kids. He was a Mason and was the Grand Markey of the Grotto, one of the highest honors that he was so proud of. He and his wife Patsy loved to dance; they were so elegant on the ballroom floor. He loved to fish, golf, go to flea markets, boat, the lake, motorcycles and old cars. Most of all he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each one of them will always have that special memory he left with them. Floyd will be missed so much by the ones he left behind, as we know he is not in any pain anymore; he's watching us all from above. So, keep him in your heart where he would want to be.

Floyd is survived by two brothers: Raymond Poe and Donald Poe of Missouri; two daughters: Toni Poe of New Jersey and Pamela Richards and husband Joe of North Carolina; stepson: Terry Tennyson of Oklahoma; grandchildren: Angela, Matt, Amanda, Chris, Michelle, Raven and Timothy; many great-grandchildren, family and friends.
