Floyd Gail Schulte, 70, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025 at his home in Tulsa. He was born July 15, 1954 at Hillcrest Hospital to Floyd Charles and Viola (Shackleford) Schulte.

Floyd grew up in Tulsa and attended Tulsa Public Schools; graduating from Nathan Hale H.S. In 1972. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and served his country proudly! On August 8, 1978, Floyd went to work for Public Service Company of Oklahoma (now AEP/PSO) where he worked as a Journeyman Metering Technician, Training Manager, Safety Manager and Manager of Metering Technicians, before retiring August 8, 2018. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Technical Management in 1995 from Oklahoma City University and his Master's Degree in Industrial Management from Northeastern State University in 1998.

After retiring, Floyd and his wife, Mary enjoyed traveling, especially visiting the Rocky Mountains. He also enjoyed fishing, and gardening - he had quite a green thumb and loved sports. He coached our son's YMCA and AAU youth basketball teams for several years; taking his teams to numerous tournament championships! However, he loved football! OU was his favorite team! If the OU football game was televised, he was watching it! Floyd was the president of the homeowners association. During his 3 years as president, he, along with the board, made many positive improvements for the homeowners and the association.
