Obituary

Fonda Martin was a caring wife, mother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on February 12, 2021 at age 58. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Stan Martin, her three children, Andi, TJ and Tanner, her mother Nellie, her brother Gene, her sisters Mindy and Missy, her in-laws Cecil and Joyce, her grand-pups Cali and Franklin as well as many extended family members and friends. Fonda was preceded in death by her father, Hugh.
Fonda was born to Hugh and Nellie Brumley on September 4, 1962. After graduating from high school, she pursued her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. If you ever met Fonda, even just once, you knew that she loved you. She wanted to take care of every person she ever met, and she usually succeeded. These characteristics served her well as she focused her nursing skills on a career in hospice where she spent over 20 years providing end of life care for patients in northeast Oklahoma.
Fonda loved to spend time in the kitchen cooking for her family and many of her best days were spent entertaining family and friends by the pool at her home. She and Stan also loved to travel and made many special memories at the various destinations they visited.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Moore's Eastlawn located at 1908 South Memorial. The service will be streamed online on the Moore's website for those who are unable to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate in Fonda's memory to Youth Services of Tulsa or The Animal Rescue Foundation.
