Obituary

Foy Earl Cox, 95, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on October 25, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Foy was a WWII veteran and retired geologist and is survived by his daughters Nancy Robbins of Tulsa, Connie Harless of Tucson, AZ, Cindy McCoy of Austin, TX, and son Andy Cox of Arlington, TX, as well as 8 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Foy was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
A long-time Midlander, he and wife Bernie moved to Midland in 1964 where they raised their 4 children and were active St. Ann's parishioners. Foy sang in the St. Ann's choir and was with the choir when they traveled to the Vatican to sing for the Pope. He worked for both Cities Service Oil Co. and JM Huber Corp. as a Geologist and was an avid Golfer and member of Green Tree Country Club where he had a standing daily tee time with a large group of retirees. He enjoyed the game well into his later years despite being "handicapped" with macular degeneration which robbed him of much of his eyesight. He also loved to dance and spend time with his many friends and family. His "renowned" dance moves were well chronicled at his grandchildren's weddings. In 2007, Foy moved to Tulsa, OK where he lived for 11 years prior to succumbing to a stroke.
A special thank you to the Staff and fellow residents at Oklahoma Methodist Manor in Tulsa for their loving care, support, and friendship during his 6 years as a resident. Memorial donations for macular degeneration research may be made to the BrightFocus Foundation, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871.
