Frances "Jean" Hinderliter Williams, native Tulsan, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 18, 2019.
Born May 6, 1921, Jean was the daughter of Frank and Jeanette "Nettie" Hinderliter. Jean graduated from Central High School and then went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Tulsa. While at TU, she became a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. In 1943, she married Dale M. Williams. They enjoyed 51 wonderful years together.
Jean was a life-long member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was active member of D.A.R., P.E.O., and Garden Club. and, she loved and enjoyed traveling her entire life. Jean was the exemplary of a life well lived through strength in her faith, family and so many wonderful friends.
Jean is survived by her three daughters: Janet Miller, husband Matthew of Houston, Texas, Susan Williams and Maryann Blackburn, her husband Bill of Tulsa; 9 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren, and was very close to many cousins, nephews and nieces.
At this time, the family of Jean Williams wishes to express their gratitude to each and every member of her hospice team. They are very special people.
Visitation will be 4-6 PM, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. A celebration of Jean's life will be held at 11:00 A.M., First Presbyterian Church-Tulsa in the sanctuary, 709 S. Boston, Tulsa, OK.
