Frank Gobbell, Jr. 82 of Broken Arrow, OK went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 11, 2021 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Frank was born in Lawrence County, TN September 11, 1938. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jean Moore Freeman; daughter, Angela Gobbell Thomas of Bartlett, TN; son, Jeff Gobbell (Kelly) of Spring, TX; step-son, Mark Freeman (Leigh) of Bulverde, TX; and step-daughter, Libby Freeman (Kevin Smith) of Verdigris, OK; two sisters, Jane Holt and Joyace Gobbell; brother, Jerry Gobbell (Judy); 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 step-grand children and 9 step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, B. F. Gobbell and mother Annie Mae Duren.
Frank was a retired Assistant Chief from the city of West Memphis, AR Fire Department. Over the last 34 years he worked in various positions with Cherokee Hills Golf Club (Cherokee Nation Entertainment). Frank enjoyed all types of card games, golf, college football and dancing!
A memorial "come and go" celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 14th from 11 am - 1 pm at Cherokee Hills Golf Club. Casual/golf attire is welcomed. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Clare House, Tulsa, OK in memory of Frank.
