Frank Lauinger, age 90, passed away while in St. Francis Hospital Hospice care, on February 21, 2025. Frank was born in Orrinn, North Dakota on August 13, 1934, to Mike and Anna (Tuchscherer) Lauinger. He graduated from high school in Butte, ND in 1952. Shortly thereafter he moved to Tulsa, where he lived until his death, with the exception of time spent serving his country in the U.S. Army for three years.
He was married to Rosemary (McCormack) Lauinger for 63 years. Frank worked for many years for Conoco Oil Co., Tuloil, Inc., and Bowers Oil Company. He retired in 2006 from Bowers Oil Co.
Frank was a big sports fan, especially football, basketball and baseball. He played basketball in high school, and although he wasn't the tallest guy on the team, he was respected by all the team players, who gave him credit for helping to get them to the championship games. He loved coaching the Little League baseball teams of all three of his sons and enjoyed being with all the young boys that he coached. Frank was a member of Metro Pentecostal Church and loved to go to church, and he read his Bible faithfully each day.
Frank is survived by his wife, Rosemary, his three sons, Mike Lauinger and wife Delia of San Antonio, TX, Scotty Lauinger and fiance' Tammy of Tahlequah, OK and Jeff Lauinger of Tulsa, OK; three grandsons, Robert Lauinger, John Lauinger and Rodney Lauinger; one granddaughter, Lexi Lauinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Rose (Lauinger) Bachmeier, and Jeff's wife/daughter-in-law Ranette Lauinger.
