Frank Otto Riesinger was born at home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 20, 1926, to Otto Karl Riesinger and Emma Marie (Herlig) Riesinger. He graduated in the Will Rogers High School class of 1942. He entered Oklahoma A and M College (OSU) in the fall of that year. Called into the Army Air Corps in 1945, he served stateside, preparing for the invasion of Japan. He was greatly relieved when the war ended quickly in August. After initially re-entering A and M, he transferred to Tulsa University to study accounting. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1949. Going to work with his father, they built Riesinger's Jewelers, a well-known manufacturing and retail concern. Starting with one store, they eventually expanded to serve customers in Utica Square. Dad was in the jewelry business for most of his life. He married Barbara Ann Young on October 31, 1953. Together they raised two children, Ronald Otto, and Ann Marie (Beam).
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Jean Marie, and his wife. Surviving family members are his brother, Theodore Leon Riesinger and wife, Betty; son, Ron and wife Karen and their daughters, Amelia, and Carolyn; daughter, Ann and husband Clifford Beam and their children, Jacqueline, Brian, Catherine, Matthew, and Emily. There are also 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 5-7PM, Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, May 3, 2024 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel.
