Obituary

Franklin F. Daggs, 85, loving husband to Betty Jo for almost 66 years, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away, leaving a legacy of warmth, wit, and devotion to his loved ones.

Born on April 21, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Frank attended Putnam City Elementary and Wilson Junior High in Tulsa and was a proud graduate of Will Rogers High School, class of '58. He remained active with his high school classmates, attending monthly luncheons and maintaining those cherished connections. Frank pursued higher education at the University of Tulsa and Oklahoma State University. He worked for Continental Air Lines before starting his insurance career at State Farm, Marsh & McLennan, and later spending over 20 years at Alexander & Alexander. His tenure was marked by integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond his professional life, Frank was deeply devoted to serving his community. For 27 years, he proudly volunteered as a Reserve Deputy with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office-a role that reflected his strong sense of duty, integrity, and commitment to the safety and well-being of others. In the 1970s, Frank also poured his energy into shaping young lives as a Cub Scout Leader and Scout Master, and contributing to the Indian Nations Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He took great pride in mentoring his sons, Ken and Alan, along with many of their friends, guiding them on the path to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Through both law enforcement and scouting, Frank lived out his values of leadership, mentorship, and selfless service.

A man of deep faith and unwavering patriotism, Frank's values shone through every aspect of his life. As a devoted member of The Park Church of Christ, his faith in God was not just a belief but a way of life. He embodied discipleship daily-sharing devotional texts and literary quotations with family and friends, offering spiritual encouragement, and living out the teachings of Christ through his actions. His greatest joy and proudest achievement was his family. Whether cheering from the sidelines, gathering around the dinner table, or enjoying activities at Oaks Country Club where he was a member for over 35 years. Frank was a steady presence-a source of strength, laughter, and unconditional love.

Frank leaves behind a family who adored him, countless friends who will miss his easy charm and sharp sense of humor, and a world made better by his presence. Franklin F. Daggs was here--and for those who knew and loved him, he always will be.

Preceded in death by his son Alan and his parents, Hayden and Fayne Daggs. He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Jo Daggs; brother Wayne Daggs (Cindy) of Cincinnati, Ohio; son Kenneth Daggs (Terresa); grandchildren Jeffery (Jennifer), Stephanie, Matthew (Paige), Sarah (Chad), and Carrie (Steve); and great-grandchildren Jace, Jaxon, Jonah, Josephine, Brady, Lilly, Ryan, Liam, and Romy. He also leaves behind lifelong friends Mary Jim Tuttle and Autry Johnson, and faithful furry companion, Merigold. Moore Southlawn 918-663-2233
