Douglas, Freida Severns, 92, died Thursday, March 5, 2015.
Freida Maurine Fisk Severns Douglas was born April 5, 1922,
to James Ormel & Winnie Grace (Ivens) Fisk, Bristow, OK.
She was the youngest of 6 children and the only
Daughter. Freida was a lady way ahead of her time. She
took a job early on as an assembly line learning how to solder
for Dorsett Electronics Co., she went back to work after being widowed at a very early age, left with 3 teenagers to raise. She had to tell her children, she had to go back to work. They all worked hard, her son doing the lawn and house repairs, daughters sharing the housecleaning chores. They marvel at their Mother's strength and resilience. They have benefited greatly from that experience.
Freida is survived by her children and their families: Janet Davis, Broken Arrow, OK., Judith Blagg, her partner Roger Vogel, Tulsa, OK., Son, Jerry Severns, his wife, June, Joplin, MO. Grandchildren:
Dawn, Terry, Jenny & Rusty, Great grandchildren: Ashley, Lauren,
Andrew, Ryan, Amber, Brooklyn, Mickelle, Dana, Tyler & Abby.
Great Great Grandchildren: Jaishon & Jayla. Freida was preceded
In death by her parents, her five brothers, 1st husband, Elsworth "Sally" Severns & 2nd husband, William Douglas. Also preceded in death by 1 grandson: Ronnie Blagg & 2 great grandchildren: Brett Tull & Spencer Severns.
In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Alzheimer's Association. Visitation 6-8 Thursday, March 12, 2015, Moore's Southlawn. Service will be 2:30 P.M., Friday, March 13, 2015 at
