Jones, Gabrille "Gabbie" Watson, 92 died Monday, December 15, 2025. Gabbie was born August 1, 1933, Tulsa, OK., to Irving Vermette & Maude Allen (Watson) Jones.

Gabbie was a Tulsa original! She attended Eliot Elementary, Horace Mann Junior High & Central High School. She went on to the University of Tulsa, and Whitman College earning her BA degree in Political Science. She pledged Phi Mu sorority and that connection followed with friendship her whole life. Her career spans 50 years in service to Tulsa. Serving at one time as the Director of Gilcrease Museum and Founding the Brookside Neighborhood Association. Gabbie started teaching Sunday School at First Baptist Church right after college. Having no children of her own, she loved working with the young people through Christian Education. She called her experiences wonderful blessings to her life. Gabbie was proud to be a member of AAUW whose mission is the achievement of equal status for women and girls in all areas of life.

Gabbie was feisty and opinionated. Anyone associated with Gabbie is proud to call her friend. A big thank you to Miller Hospice for their loving care of our friend.

Visitation will be 4-6 Sunday, December 21, 2025, Moore's Southlawn Chapel. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2025, First Baptist Church-Downtown, Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK.

In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to First Baptist Church-Downtown Tulsa or Miller Hospice.
