Gary Lee Hazlewood, born April 20, 1949, passed quietly November 9, 2020. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Gary Hazlewood and Ada Edith Jones Hazlewood. Gary grew up in rural Oklahoma playing baseball and riding his horse. Gary was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he spent two tours of duty and was an accomplished sharp shooter. Upon returning home, Gary took various jobs as a ranch hand before his career in law enforcement while living and working in the Tulsa area. Gary retired to his home in Wagoner, OK and enjoyed fishing on Ft. Gibson Lake and learning the area's history. Gary was most often seen driving his white Chevy truck accompanied by his loyal companion, Gypsy. Gary will be missed by his former neighbors and friends at the lake. As Gary's health began failing, Laura Foster Harris became his committed caretaker. She was the daughter he never had. A graveside service will be held on November 19, 2020 where he will be laid to rest next to his parents in Kellyville, Oklahoma.
