Dr. Gary Lynn Jones, 69, of Tulsa, OK passed from this life on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Born June 22, 1956 in Amarillo, TX to Melvin and JoAnn Jones, he married Vicki Caldwell on August 14, 1976. He was a Church of Christ minister for 20 years in Arkansas and Oklahoma, before shifting careers to counseling psychology where he served clients in Alabama and Oklahoma for 35 years. He is preceded in death by son, Justin Marc Jones, and father, Melvin Wade Jones.

Gary was a man of faith and service to others. He was an academic, earning degrees from Harding University, Harding Graduate School of Religion, a PhD from the University of Oklahoma, and a post-doctoral degree from The Fielding Institute. Gary dearly loved his family and traveled the world with them, making memories and embracing the beauty of God's creation.

Gary is survived by Vicki, his wife of 50 years; daughter Kristen Jones of Enid, OK; daughter Kayla Crenshaw (Scott) of Bella Vista, AR; son Ryan Jones of San Diego, CA; granddaughters Shelby and Piper Crenshaw; international daughter Sopo Skhirtladze of the Republic of Georgia; mother, JoAnn Jones of Rogers, AR; sister Pam Gay (Lynn) of Springdale, AR; brother Terry Jones (Leslie) of Colorado Springs, CO; four brother and sister-in-laws; 22 nieces and nephews; and numerous beloved extended family members.

Visitation is being held Sunday, June 14 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Moore's Southlawn Chapel; 9350 E. 51st St, Tulsa, OK 74145. The funeral service will be held Monday, June 15, at 10:00 a.m. at The Park Church of Christ, 10600 E. 96th St., Tulsa, OK, 74133
