GARY, Genevieve (Genny), beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Genny was born in Okmulgee, OK to M.A. and Myrtle Kiker. She grew up in Okmulgee and graduated from Okmulgee High School. Genny lived in Tulsa with her loving husband, Robert Gary.

A Methodist all her days, and a member of Boston Ave. United Methodist Church, she kept a strong faith. For many years, she was a nursing home administrator in Tulsa. Always joyous in spirit, she will be remembered for her love of family and friends. She delighted in family gatherings, gardening, and cooking.

A natural athlete, she learned to snow ski in her 50's, which she enjoyed on family trips. Her nurturing nature, her humor, her zest and enthusiasm for life, and her inquisitive spirit gave happiness to all those she knew.

She is survived by her children: Deanna Miles and husband, Dallas Miles of Dallas, TX; Jenny Hughes and husband, John Hughes of St. Louis, Ed Rucker and wife, Kim of Tulsa, and Richard Gary and wife, Christina of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, Diane Reichardt, Kathleen Rainey, Sarah Rucker, Ben Rucker, Andrew Miles, and Jake Gary; two great-grandchildren, Reese and Gwen Reichardt; and her sister, Ora Mae Piester of Muskogee, OK.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gary; her parents; and her two brothers, Lawrence and Ralph Kiker.
