Gearl Laughlin, 79, passed away on April 12th, 2014 after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.He was born in Quinton, OK. January 16, 1935. Preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Della Ann; daughter Pamela Brown and husband Charlie; daughter Dawn Ann Laughlin; grandchildren Sarah, Lauren, and Christian Brown; brothers Don Laughlin of Henryetta, OK and Harold Laughlin of Costa Mesa, CA. He was a graduate of Wilson High School in Wilson, OK.
Gearl graduated from Oklahoma State University, where he served as Treasurer for the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Fraternity. Gearl was very proud to be a US Marine. He married Della Ann Whitmire and they began a wonderful life together December 19, 1964.

He opened his accounting firm in Brookside in 1965 and maintained his office there for 40 years. Gearl enjoyed volunteering for the Jaycees, MS Society, and Meals on Wheels. He was a member at Harvard Avenue Christian Church where he served as Treasurer and on various committees. He enjoyed traveling, family campouts, spending time with friends and attending the grandchildren's activities. He always had a positive attitude and made everyone around him feel special. He will be missed by everyone that had the privilege to know him.
