Geneva Pearl Trask was born on August 25, 1918 in Avant, Oklahoma to Alfred and Daisy DeShazer. Geneva attended school in Avant where she never missed one day of school from 1st through 12th grade. She was a starter on the Avant's girl's basketball team. Upon graduation from high school she moved to Tulsa to attend Tulsa Business School.
In December 1941, she met Floyd Roberts on a blind date and one month later, January 14, 1942 they married. It was war time when they married so they went to The Panama Canal Zone where Floyd worked for the Corp of Engineers.
Floyd and Geneva returned to Tulsa just before the birth of their only child, Diane Kay in October of 1943. Floyd was in pipeline construction work so they lived in most every state and several provinces in Canada. Geneva was licensed beautician and had a shop in her home. Floyd and Geneva were saved in a Paul Lambert Revival in June of 1951 at Tulsa Baptist Temple and Geneva remained a member ever since. She taught in the youth department for many years and for a number of years served as a church secretary.
Geneva is preceeded in death by her husbands, Floyd Roberts and Arnold Trask. She is survived by her daughter, Diane and son-in-law, John Jackson; step-daughter, Marilyn Morton; granddaughters, Tammy Long; grandson, Robert Jackson and wife, Stacy; step-grandsons, Michael Morton and wife, Brandi and Tony Kasum; great grandchildren, Kayla Jackson, Brianne Fodor, Kristin Roark, Clark Long, Cameron Jackson, Ian Long and Dallas Morton; great-great grandchildren, Chloe McCarty, Lilly Fodor, Avery Jackson, Forrest Basinger and Kane Beaver and many, many friends!
Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Tulsa Baptist Temple, 1203 S. Columbia, Tulsa, OK. A private family interment was held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
