George Charles (Duke) Kendall, Jr. passed into the arms of his recent Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 23rd, 2020.
George was born on June 18th, 1938 to George Charles Kendall Sr. and Etta (Van Pelt) Kendall in Rahway, NJ.
His brother John (Jack) followed four years later.
The family moved to Houston, TX, where George attended St. John School, graduating in 1956. He attended the University of Texas where he pursued a degree in Finance, graduating in 1960. He served in ROTC during college.
He joined the Army and went to Officers' Training School. He served as an MP and was a German interpreter before being honorably discharged.
George worked at several well-respected companies before coming to St. John's Medical Center in 1974 where he was the Director of Information Systems. He was promoted several times and retired as Senior Vice-President in 2003 after a distinguished 29 year career.
He married Emmalu Kendall on June 23rd, 1979.
George is survived by his wife; his son, George Charles Kendall III and wife Janeen and their two children, Chad (Lauren) and Porschea; step-son Jay Zoller and wife Catherine and their two children Jacob Zoller (Leigh) and Jessie (Scott) Carpenter; Jeff Zoller and his wife Sandra and their children Miranda Dunham (Dave) and Marlo Zoller; John Zoller and his wife Tammy, and their children Joshua (Ashley) Zoller and Jade (Bo) Young; brother Jack and his wife, Linda; two nephews and four nieces, as well as eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jordan Zoller, with whom he has been joyfully reunited!
George was an avid reader, a trusted advisor, a devoted father and husband and doting, involved, grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
