George C. Littlejohn, 52, of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away Thursday, June 23, 1977, in Tulsa, OK, after a long illness. He was born on Wednesday, September 10, 1924, in Rogers County, Talala, OK, to George Carson Littlejohn, Sr. and Ella S. (Strange) Littlejohn. George was married to Jane (Smith) Littlejohn. He was proud to have served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force in WWII. George was vice chairman of the board of directors of the Williams International Co., an international pipeline construction company. He joined Williams Co. in 1949, and worked in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Venezuela, England and the United States. He was elected Western Hemisphere senior vice president and manager of Western Hemisphere operations in 1969. He supervised several major crude oil pipeline systems, while holding that position. He was elected executive vice president and general manager of Williams International in 1971, was elected president of the company in 1972, and, in 1976, he was elected vice chairman. George is survived by his wife, Jane, of the home; 3 children, Linda and Mike Littlejohn, both of the home, and Mrs. Sandra Nichols of Bentonville, AR; 2 step-children, Shari and Tom Bramhall, both of the home.
