George L. McColpin, 69, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 1977, at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, OK. He was born on Saturday, October 12, 1907, in Enid, OK, to Charles "Charley" S. McColpin and Jennie (Gunning) McColpin. He was married to Wilma Louise (Van Cleave) McColpin, and was a retired furniture salesman. He was proud to have served as a Private in the Medical Department Regiment of the United States Army. George is survived by his wife, Louise; son, Bob Small; 2 stepsons, George O'Dell and Danny O'Dell; 2 grandchildren, Charles Small and Mrs. John Reed; 4 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lily McColpin; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother. George will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
