Georgia Earlene Allen, long time resident of Green Forest, AR, died on July 8, 2024 in Tulsa, OK, which was her residence for her final years.
She was born in Colony, KS on November 9, 1929, to George and Agnes Chatterton. They moved to Green Forest in 1938.
Her parents, two sisters, Roberta and Elizabeth and her brother, Charles Ellis preceded her in death. Those who carry on are her youngest sister, Ramona Wilson; her two daughters, Paula O'Dell and her husband, Ron; her daughter, Valerie Dugdale and her husband, Brian; her daughter in love Barbara Gray and her husband Jim; her six grandchildren Travis and Jonathan O'Dell; Rachel Hall and her husband, Daniel; Amanda Ogle; Patrick Southern and his wife, Emilie; Adam Dugdale and his wife, Carla. Her great-grandchildren: Allie and Nathan O'Dell, Ethan and Emma Hall, Ashton Wilson, Emet and Elliot Southern, Ava Rose (and soon to be born) Adam James Dugdale.
Throughout her life she lived in Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Indiana, then back to Arkansas and Oklahoma. She stated, "All God's people, wherever I've been, have been family to me."
Her passions were teaching Sunday School, mentoring young women, and missions. She personally spent time as a missionary in Haiti, Jamaica, Belgium and Russia. She was supportive of her daughter, Paula and husband Ron's mission work in Nigeria West Africa, as well as several other missions.
She loved photography, flowers, birdwatching, and reading, especially reading her Bible every day. Oh! We cannot forget eating ice cream!
