Gerald Forrest Hayes, 90 years old of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026. Gerald was born on October 21, 1935 in Braggs, Oklahoma.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jimmie Sue Hayes, their son David Gerald Hayes of Tulsa, Oklahoma and daughter Kimberly Sue Hayes of Jenks, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his brother Kendrick Hayes and wife Betty of Muskogee, Oklahoma and his Sister-In-Law, Norma Hayes of Paso Robles, California, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Bertha Hayes of Braggs, Oklahoma, brother Dalton Hayes and wife Velma of Campbell, California, sister Maxine Pipkins and husband Dyke of Muskogee, Oklahoma, sister Evelyn Crow and husband Dan of Muskogee, Oklahoma, brother Russell Hayes of Muskogee, Oklahoma, sister-In-law Jane Hayes of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Nephews and Nieces.

Gerald worked as a Unit Operator and a Warehousemen for Sunoco Refinery for 26 years. He retired in 1997. He enjoyed golfing with the Men's Christian Fellowship group which he established in 1997. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, and working in his yard.

Gerald served his country in the United States Army in Okinawa, Japan for two years and in the National Guard for 14 years.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Claremore Veterans Home and St. Francis Hospital Nurses, Nurse Techs and Doctors for their excellent care.

The service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 10, 2026 at SpiritLife Church. Interment following at 1:30 PM at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with military honors.
