Gerry Hyatt, 85, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at her home in Tulsa with her son by her side. She was born November 21, 1929 in Coffeyville, Kansas, the daughter of Jacob Russell Wisely and Emma Mae Busenburg Wisely. She graduated Coffeyville McKinley High School in 1947. Gerry was united in marriage with Sherman Edison "Eddie" Hyatt in 1947. She worked as the co-owner and co-operator of the Patio Cafe in Caney, Kansas and later worked alongside her husband in several shoe repair businesses in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Gerry enjoyed gardening, baking, crocheting, quilting, and trips to the Tulsa Zoo. She also loved the precious time she spent with her grandchildren. Gerry loved to travel, including a trip through the Gulf States to Orlando, Florida where she loved to spend time at Disney World. She also enjoyed trips with her son's family to San Antonio and Galveston, Texas. She was a lover of camping and boating on Lake Tenkiller.

Survivors include her three sons, Sherman Hyatt and wife Marla of Bixby, Oklahoma; Thomas Hyatt of Tulsa, Oklahoma and David Hyatt and wife Loretta of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister Darlene Vanetti of Terra Haute, Indiana; three granddaughters, Kimberly Hyatt, Melissa Walker and Erika Hyatt; grandson, Matthew Hyatt; two great-granddaughters, Natalie Walker and Sadie Hyatt; great-grandson, Ryan Walker; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sherman Edison "Eddie" Hyatt.

Viewing will be from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 with family receiving friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Dr. Chris Thompson officiating.

The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Tulsa Zoo, 6421 E 36th St North, Tulsa, OK 74115.
