Gladys Pearl (Gibson) Henry-Scott passed away peacefully at Saint Simeon's Episcopal Home on Saturday, March 25, 2017. She was preceded In death by her husband, Jack Scott, siblings, Lewis (Hoot), Sis, Cecil, Howard, Carl, Ruth, Roy and granddaughter, Lauren Michelle Henry.
She was born on May 3, 1923 to Lena Mae and Luther (Pap) Gibson, their 9th child, and the baby of the family. She was a Gas Accountant in Tulsa with Skelly Oil before transferring to Houston, TX when Texaco acquired Skelly. She retired in 1984 and developed a love for "elegant glass" attending local/national glass shows. Her table settings for family holiday dinners were legendary.
Gladys enjoyed dancing and could not sit still when a country song was heard; she was a St John's Hospital Auxiliary volunteer for 25 years and became a familiar and favored member of the St John's Health Club.
She is survived by her sister, Goldie Gibson Crume, three children, Virginia Henry Partridge of San Diego, David and Pat Henry plus Dennis and Peggy Henry of Tulsa, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed.
The Memorial Service is 10 AM, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Saint Simeon's, 3701 N. Martin Luther King Blvd, Tulsa, OK. Condolences may be left online at
