Glenda Kay Goodwin entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 5, 2022, one day following her birthday. Glenda was born October 4, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Herman Glenn Arnspiger and Rowena Elizabeth Arnspiger. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Jim Goodwin; her two sons, Jeffrey (Cynthia) and Bret (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Emily and Derek; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graduate of the University of Tulsa majoring in music education, Glenda taught private piano lessons for many years before retiring. She was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She loved each member of her family, enjoyed being "Grammy" to her grandchildren, and participated in and supported many family activities, ranging from high school sports to boy scouts to family summer vacations in beautiful Colorado to her grandchildren's band competitions. She also pursued many personal activities such as vocal solos for church, ice skating, and, in later years, golf.
Glenda was a dedicated Christian and true to her faith. As a longtime member of the Presbyterian church, she enjoyed many years in the choir and her women's circle, where she frequently taught Bible studies. Her faith and relationship to God was very personal and important to her, and she passed her strong faith to her children. Truly a caring person, Glenda brought joy to all whose life she touched. She will be missed dearly.
