Glenn E. Brumbaugh (94) was born July 2, 1924 in St. Joseph Missouri, he went to be with his Lord on Sunday morning February 10, 2019 in Tulsa.
Growing up in Missouri, he loved working on his Grandad's farm, taught Sunday School and had aspirations of becoming an architect but after graduating High School, at 18 years old, he joined the United States Army and served in the European Theater in WWII. He was with the 124th SIGNAL RADIO INTELLIGENCE COMPANY and 8263 SIGNAL SERVICE CO in Scotland, England, France, Germany, Luxemburg, Austria and Denmark earning a Bronze Star for helping to take out several panzer units during the battle of the bulge.
When the war ended, he returned home to St Joseph and married his sweetheart, Catherine B Gregg, on September 10th 1945 and November 5, 1945 he received an honorable discharge as Staff Sergeant with the 3263 Signal Service Co. They then moved to Topeka Kansas where he attended Washburn College for a year and a half and in 1947 was accepted to the University of Oklahoma where he graduated January 1949 with a Major in Finance and a Minor in Law.
He worked in banking in Oklahoma City and was sent LSU's Grad School for Banking where he graduated in 1957. They moved to Tulsa in 1953 and he continued in banking working for First National Bank of Tulsa and Tulsa's Bank of Commerce. He was involved in the community volunteering with Civitan, United Way, Boy Scouts and many Church activities at First Presbyterian Church. They moved to Langley on Grand Lake in 1987 where he worked in real estate, and had many good friends spending time sailing, golfing, fishing, gardening, wood working, and helping to build the sanctuary in a church they attended.
They enjoyed traveling and visited some of the places he had been in the War. He and Kitty moved back to Tulsa in 2002 where they returned to First Presbyterian Church and reunited with many old friends in the Mariner's Class. He worked with Up-With-Trees and joined a Men's group of old friends in banking and was an active member in the Church. They moved to Methodist Manor the end of 2013 and where they joined in many Oklahoma Methodist Manor activities and made many friends.
He loved the Lord and also loved music and attending Evenings at the Bernsen with Kitty. He is survived by his wife Catherine Brumbaugh, 2 daughters and 4 Grandchildren,

Glenn and Kitty moved to Grand Lake in 1987 where he worked in real estate. They made good friends spending time sailing, golfing, fishing, working in his vegetable garden, and helping to build the sanctuary in a church they attended, in Langley.
Glenn and Kitty moved back to Tulsa in 2002. He is survived by his wife, and two daughters, Laurie and Jane and 4 grandchildren. Glenn and Kitty were married for 73 years.
