Glenn "David" Kimes of Norman Oklahoma passed away on March 20, 2026. Born on October 17, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Donald B. Kimes and Laquita D. Kimes Parmer.

David was raised in Tulsa in a loving Christian home. He was a firm believer in Christs promises, and this contributed to his kindness and uncanny ability to connect to just about anyone.

David was a hard worker and held various jobs starting at the age of 12. He graduated East Central high school in 1978. During high school David excelled in marketing classes. He also found he could make extra money filing income taxes for classmates and friends. David had a knack for accounting, math and business in which he enrolled in Oklahoma State University. He received an associates degree in accounting of business in 1984. During college he worked as a special services teller from 1981 through 1986. By 1989 he opened David Kimes Inc: accounting, processing and tax planning services. He also spent several years as an instructor of business and accounting courses at Tulsa Vo-Tech. After all the many late nights of book keeping and tax preparation, it was time for David to retire. He closed his business of over 30 years in 2020. During retirement he was able to do some of his favorite things that he enjoyed. He frequented his favorite coffee shops and he loved to go to the mall and shop. He also loved just sitting around, relaxing and petting his Jack Russell "Zoie".

David is survived by his mother Laquita D. Kimes, brother Dan and wife Barbara Kimes, brother Loren and wife Debi Kimes, nephew Dale and wife Jennifer Kimes, and great nephew Tobias Kimes. He is proceeded in death by his father Donald B Kimes.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Floral Haven Cemetery, 6500 S. 129th E. Avenue, Broken Arrow, OK 74012
