Obituary

Jean Greer McCollum Berry entered her eternal home on January 23, 2026 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A lifelong Tulsan, Glenna Jean Greer was born on September 4, 1938, to Charles and Alta Greer. She grew up with one older brother, Don Greer, who was 10 years her senior. Jean graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1956 and began a long career with American Airlines (Sabre), from 1956 to 1962, and again from 1979 to 2000, with 27 years of service.

Jean married Ray McCollum after his return from naval service in 1957. They were married for 49 years and raised two children, Michael and Holly. In 2009, Jean married Tom Berry and celebrated 16 years together.

Jean was a proud lifelong Sooner fan, following all OU sports. She loved to travel, especially to Europe and the Caribbean, and was an expert at flying AA standby. A devoted cat lover, Jean cared for many feline companions over the years, most recently Beau and Buddy. Jean was an avid shopper and enjoyed finding a good deal.

Jean is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Michael McCollum (Shelly); daughter, Holly Yeagle (Steve); and four beloved grandchildren: Andrew McCollum, Kate McCollum (Trevor Christian), Lauren Yeagle, and Kelsey Yeagle. She also cherished her bonus family: Tom's daughters, Allyson Turley (Jason), Cindy Hays (Robert), and their families.

Special appreciation to caregivers at Trinity Woods and Seasons Hospice.
