Grace V. Hargis, Dec. 23 1930 - Jan. 11 2022
Grace Viola (Evans) Hargis passed away January 11th. She joins her husband of 59 years, John Clarence Hargis, and both of her sons, John Michael "Mike" Hargis and Terry Don Hargis.
Grace was given a talent for teaching and used it throughout her life. She taught young children, young adults, adults, and (together with her husband) couples in the church. Her blunt yet loving manner drew people to her for wisdom on a variety of topics from relationships to baking bread and everything in between. She never turned away a child and always had an ear and a lap for them even when health obstacles made it difficult. After her husband passed, her faith did not falter. Her days and late nights were spent talking and walking with the Holy Spirit and praying for her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, those she counted as her kids, and many others. Her prayer life was an awesome example to all around her. When her life on earth ended after 91 years, she had been faithful with her talents.
She is survived by her brother Junior Evans of Seminole, as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Grandchildren- Toby Hargis and wife Bethany of Skiatook, John Daniel "Daniel" Hargis and wife Emily of Norman, Levi Hargis and wife Hannah of Skiatook, Ivan Hargis and wife Jacque of Tahlequah, Janean Deckard and husband Travis of Collinsville, Kay Hall and husband Luke of Collinsville, Mika Williams and husband Truth of Tulsa, and Ezra Hargis and wife Claire of Owasso.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Fellowship Bible Church, 5434 E. 91st, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
