Greta Lavonne Ivey, 92, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2025.

Greta was born on November 29, 1932, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Fount and Mae Mabrey. Greta was raised in Marshall, Arkansas before moving to Oklahoma in high school and graduating from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs. She joined the work force upon graduation and landed her dream job as an executive secretary in the engineering department at Sinclair Oil and Gas in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she retired after 30 years of service.

Greta married Cecil and they raised Danny in Cleveland, Oklahoma and were members of Westport Baptist Church at Lake Keystone before ultimately moving to Sand Springs and transferring membership to Broadway Baptist Church. She was formerly involved in her local Garden Club activities and the ARCO Birthday Girls group upon retirement. Her favorite pastimes included extensive traveling with Cecil, spending time with her grandkids, walking, and reading her Bible daily. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ivey. She is survived by her son, Daniel Shields and wife, Pam Shields; grandson, Chase Shields and wife Chelsie, great-grandson, McCoy and great-granddaughter Bree Shields; grand-daughter Chelsea Mabrey and husband Matt, great-grandson, Fount Mabrey; all of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; and grandsons, Paul Allison and Aviv Nissim of Tulsa.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Greta's memory.

Viewing will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 10:00AM to 12:30PM at the Moore Southlawn Chapel followed by Funeral Services at 1:00PM in the Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
