Guy T. Miller, born to the late William I. and Anita Evans-Miller, in Houston, TX on 20 June 1944 and passed away on 24 November 2025 in Tulsa, OK. He graduated Tulsa Central High School in 1963. He was a long time employee with Tulsa World.
Guy moved through life with a sense of humor and an unmistakable spark. As the youngest in his family, he carried a bit of a rebel's heart-with a grin that often meant a story or punchline was on its way, the kind that drew everyone into the moment.
Guy spent his professional life at The Tulsa World newspaper, working in the sales department in advertising. Over the years, he built many lifelong friendships with colleagues, relationships he valued deeply and cherished throughout his life. His time at the newspaper wasn't just a career-it was a place where he connected, laughed, and shared daily life with people who became like family.
For many years, along with Guy's passion for life and friends, he loved spending most of his vacations hunting and fishing in the Ozarks. After retirement, he found joy in the simple things: tending his garden, working on projects around his home, and caring for the animals that always seemed to find him. A lifelong lover of music, he brought his passion to local radio, crafting playlists and building friendships with radio program hosts who considered him one of their own. He had a quietly generous side, evident in the ways he gave to others, through children's outreach and small acts of help when people least expected it.
He lived fully, laughed loudly, and left a vivid, unforgettable mark-real, honest, and wholly himself.
Guy is survived by his sister, Pat O'Brien; his niece Kristen Meredith Sinclair; great niece Caroline and two great-great nephews Sagan and Ellis Hall; and his very devoted and much loved cousin, Dennis Cowen (Ann). He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Bill F. Miller.
Funeral to be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Moore Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel at 2:00 pm. Family and friends, please join us at noon for BBQ at Rib Crib - 16th and Harvard prior to service. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, Oklahoma
