Hailey was a graduate of Oral Roberts University and a high school graduate of Lincoln Christian School. While not the 'best' athlete, Hailey enjoyed being a teammate on the softball team and sometimes participating in track practice with her best friend Sadie Coplin Lincoln. If asked about what the two enjoyed most about high school, Sadie said "first day of school, not having our sports physicals meant we got to walk during practice. And nothing really changed after that because we both ended up with injuries of some kind". As Hailey grew up, her plan for college began with going to the University of Oklahoma and maybe majoring in Nursing. After two years of searching for the right fit, Hailey landed back in Tulsa, at Oral Roberts University, studying social work. Her true passion in life was helping those who didn't have a voice. Hailey used her passion to serve the families and children at The Little Light House. After her time with the Little Light House, Hailey went to CAP Tulsa and served at two community schools, one in Sand Springs, and one in North Tulsa. Being able to serve those who needed it was what Hailey lived for. Hailey truly loved people and wanted to find ways to be available to those who needed it. Even in her fight with Metastatic Melanoma, Hailey found ways to help those in need. On one of her trips for treatment, Hailey was able to walk and saw an older patient who needed help getting into their car. Hailey didn't miss a beat; she went to that patient and made sure they got into their car without falling. Hailey was a light to every person she met at her treatment center, OCSRI. Known for her beautiful smile and head scarfs, her attitude and all around positivity touched everyone. Hailey and her family want to express gratitude for her care team at OCSRI, especially Dr. Scott Cole and his entire team, nurse practitioners Julie Spears and Jana, Dr. Grenville Jones and every other caregiver that assisted in Hailey's care in the last year.
Among the things Hailey held most dear was her daughter Peyton. Hailey desired to have the first year of Peyton's life just like any other mom. When her diagnosis affected her interactions with Peyton, Hailey's support system - mom and dad, and Jessica - made sure to create moments for Hailey. If Hailey could only rest on the couch, Peyton took naps on Hailey. If Peyton was sitting and playing, she sat and played near wherever Hailey was. Alongside Hailey's support system, was Aaron, Hailey's partner and Peyton's father. Aaron made himself available to Hailey whenever she needed to see Peyton. He made Peyton a priority and stepped up in a huge way when Hailey physically couldn't. When Hailey needed respite or time away from treatment centers and appointments, she visited her sister Lindsay and brother in law Seth and their boys. Hailey was in her element being in Roanoke and Southlake, shopping, eating good food, and resting with her sister and brother. There was truly nothing Hailey enjoyed more than snuggling up in a cozy blanket, turning on a movie, and laughing together.
Hailey is preceded in death by Grandparents James and Patsy Davis, Grandfather Robert Leppelmeier, Uncle George Davis, Uncle Steve Davis, Uncle Todd Davis and Aunt Deborah Leppelmeier.
