Hans-Peter Schmidt, 84, Tulsa resident, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at his home. Hans was born December 6, 1939, to Helmut Schmidt and Irma Dorothea (Leverenz) Urhammer in Kiel, Germany. His first job was with Mercedes in Germany and his last job was with Mercedes in Tulsa. Hans also built aircraft simulators. He was a member of Mercedes Club in Tulsa and Oklahoma City and Masonic Lodge 243 in Broken Arrow. Hans was also a professional photographer. He enjoyed collecting model Mercedes cars (Hot Wheels, Die-Cast and RC) and a big San Francisco 49ers and Formula One Mercedes Racing fan. Hans is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Donna Katherine Schmidt and granddaughter, Hannah Katherine Schmidt. He is survived by his three children; Hans-Peter Schmidt, Jr. of Wichita, KS, Walter Vaden Schmidt, his wife, Rebecca of Park Hill, OK and Dorothea Jean Penfield, her husband, Jerry of Tulsa, OK, four grandchildren; Hunter Vaden Schmidt, his wife, Christina, Zachary Daniel Schmidt, his wife, Abriel, Daisy Kaitlyn Penfield, and Sadie Irma Penfield and great grandson, Cash Vaden Schmidt.
