Obituary
Hardy R. McConnell, 74, of Tulsa, OK, passed away, Friday, June 27, 1975, at Doctor's Hospital, Tulsa, OK. He was born on Saturday, February 9, 1901, in Hot Springs, AR, to John Donathon McConnell and Martha Ann (Springer) McConnell. He retired from Tulsa Public School System and had been employed for 18 years by Gulf Refining Co. He was married to Mildred C. (Glitsch) McConnell, and was a member of Will Rogers United Methodist Church.
Hardy was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mildred of the home; daughters, Mrs. Erdis "Billie Ruth" Staggs of Homewood, IL, and Mrs. Marshell "Jean" Callaway of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Jerry R. McConnell of Claremore, OK; sisters, Mrs. Harley Welch, Mrs. Harry Grist, Mrs. Lucas Pratt, all of Tulsa, OK, Mrs. Frank Apple of Broken Arrow, OK, Mrs. Ralph Wood of Bixby, OK, and Mrs. George Welsh of Hartshorne, OK; brother Bob McConnell of Bixby, OK; and 5 grandchildren.
Friends may contribute to Childrens' Medical Center and/or American Heart Association, in his memory.
