Harold D. Baker
Harold D. Baker, 89, passed away May 21, 2015 at the Stroud Regional Medical Center.
Harold was born on October 30, 1925, a son of the late Ivan Randolph and Lillian (Owen) Baker. He graduated from Central High School in Tulsa. Harold was a graduate of Tulsa University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and was a member of the Phi Kappa Alpha fraternity. His service in the Army included 18 months in the Indo-China area during World War II. Harold worked at Texaco for 47 years. After one year in administration, he decided to transfer within the company to the yard, where he worked as a welder for the rest of his career. He continued to design and build welding projects for enjoyment until the last few months when his health declined.
Harold is preceded in death by Margaret, his beloved wife of 49 years in 2008, his son Michael in 2005, and his brother Jack in 1978.
Harold is survived by Richard and Sharon Baker of Stroud and Neal Baker of Portland, Maine.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 26 at 10:00 A.M. at the Moore's Rosewood Chapel at 2570 South Harvard in Tulsa.
Visitation will be Monday, May 25 from 12 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
