Harold "Howie" Gene Butler Jr. of Tulsa Oklahoma passed away on 16 November 2024 of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Harold was born on 19 October 1964 to Harold Gene Butler Sr. and Linda Ann Butler in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

After graduating from Edison Senior High school in Tulsa in 1983, he went on to earn a dual degree in Business Administration/Finance from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1987.

Upon graduation from OSU, Harold went on to work in the Insurance Industry, first for State Farm Insurance in Dallas, Texas then coming back to Tulsa to open a successful All State Insurance Agency for many years. Harold spent his 37 year career in the Insurance Industry.

Harold and his former wife, Kim Butler, were blessed with a baby girl in 1996, Katelyn Francis Butler.

He was a dedicated and proud father who was extremely committed to his daughter as well as being fiercely loyal to his friends. Howie loved spending time with his daughter, Katelyn, who was the light of his life. He enjoyed his recent days with his love, Kimberly Coppedge, and their dog, Dottie. He will be remembered for his humor, the way he loved others, and for the way he was utterly dedicated to being a father. Howie was energized by the people he surrounded himself with, but in truth, it was Howie who fed our souls and spirits.

Harold was preceded in death by his father Harold Gene Butler, Sr, mother Linda Ann Butler, and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his daughter Katelyn Butler, brother Walter Butler, significant other Kimberly Coppedge, Uncle Pete Van Leuvan, Aunt Marilyn Van Leuvan and cousins.

Services will be held at the All Souls Unitarian Church located at 2952 S Peoria Ave, Tulsa, OK 74114 at 2:00pm. Celebration of life to follow at Cimarron Bar 2619 S Memorial Dr, Tulsa, OK 74129.
