Ray Mosley, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 16,2025, at the age of 96. Born on December 26, 1928, Ray was the middle of three brothers and lived a long and meaningful life marked by quiet strength, unwavering integrity, and deep compassion.
Born in Arkansas, Ray's early years were shaped by the Great Depression and a world in transition. This period instilled in him a deep sense of thrift and the importance of living comfortably without excess. He ensured his family always had nourishing meals, new clothes, and a nice home.
In 1953, Ray married the love of his life, Dolly Jones. Together, they create a home in Tulsa where they raised their two children, Steven and Belinda, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Ray proudly served his country by joining the United States Army stationed primarily in Germany. His time in uniform shaped his character and instilled values that he carried throughout his life.
In his final few years, Ray's days became more joyful thanks to the compassionate caregiving team from Griswold and other caregivers. Their kindness, companionship, and attentive care brought comfort and light to his life, and their presence was deeply appreciated by both Ray and his family. Neighbors also visited regularly, offering food, companionship and laughter. They never hesitated to help when family called.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife Dolly, son Steven, granddaughter Stephanie, and two brothers Kenneth and Lyndell. He is survived by his daughter Belinda and husband Jim, and three grandchildren.
