Obituary

TAYLOR, Harold Lloyd, 88, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. Born in Okmulgee and reared in Tulsa, OK, he attended Tulsa Schools including "Old Central". Retired after 36 years at Western Gillette and Roadway, Inc. He was a soldier, sailor, and airman serving with the U. S. Army in Europe, then with the active U. S. Navy Reserve Forces as a week-end warrior retiring after 31 years as a Chief Operations Specialist CPO. He was licensed as a commercial pilot and was an aircraft owner and flew for 32 years. Traveled and visited 38 countries, 22 of them with his late wife, Audrey. She was the former Audrey Ames. Audrey and Harold were married 59 years until she died of Alzheimers in 2006.

Preceded in death by his brother, T. O. Murphy; sister-in-law, Maxine King.
Surviving is their daughter, Janice Martin and son-in-law, David Martin; grandson, Andy Dale; numerous nieces and nephews.

Harold is a Christian and long-time member of University United Methodist Church. He was a teacher, van driver, and served on the Administration Board and Finance Committee. Life was good! At his request, remember him as you last spoke, passed, or waived. He is gone to look up Audrey.

Visitation will be 4-6 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Moore's Southlawn. Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 3, 2014 at Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow.
