Harris Roger Blount was born the son of Oscar Harris Blount and Marie Delay Blount on October 9th, 1938 in Vinita, OK.

He spent the early years of his life in Vinita, but his family later moved to Ardmore where he graduated high school in May of 1956. Harris then attended Oklahoma A&M studying engineering. Before graduating, Harris joined the Air Force in May of 1960. He retired from the military in March of 1977 having attained the rank of Lt. Colonel. While in the military he got his electrical engineering degree.

After his military career, Harris traveled the world. He eventually moved to Tulsa and in 1986 he met the love of his life and constant companion, Norma Kussmann.

Harris is survived by his loving family. Stepson Tony Fiorentine and wife Gina. Grandson Jared Fiorentine, Granddaughter Emile Goldenberg and husband Will, one Great Grandson Leo Fiorentine, several cousins, his Military Brothers, and friend and caregiver Carol Bruer.

Harris was preceeded in death by his parents Oscar and Marie Blount, his beloved companion Norma Kussmann, several cousins, and his Military Brothers.
