Harry S. Fennell was born in Latrobe, PA on December 9, 1940. He died in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 24, 2024.
He is survived by his lovely bride of 60 years, Mary Jo (Weimer) Fennell, his daughter, Lesa and her husband, Chris Buck and grandson, Matthew Stedt. Nieces Pam Huffman, Amy Fennell and their families, brother-in-law and wife Larry & Sally Weimer, nephews Boyd Weimer (Cathy) and Joel Weimer as well as several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Edward & Mary Katherine (Smith) Fennell, twin brother, Homer Fennell and sister-in-law Connie (Jones) Fennell.
Harry was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on January 17, 1964. He served as an Elder for many years in several congregations in Pennsylvania and Oklahoma until his death. He volunteered in many areas of service for the Annual Conventions, which included the news, food and cleaning departments.
Harry's secular work mostly involved the automotive industry in service, parts, and sales and also a teacher at an automotive school. He also worked for Admiral Express in sales and as a night guard for Harmon Security.
Harry's love of cars initially played a role in meeting his future bride but their mutual love of dance "sealed the deal"!
In Harry's younger years he was an athlete playing baseball and basketball in high school. His love of sports included Steelers Football, Pirates Baseball, Nascar racing and golfing with his many friends, son-in-law, grandson and his bride.
His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1PM (CDT) at Venue 918, Tulsa, Oklahoma. A zoom option will be available (NOTE: for those in Eastern time zone it will be 2PM)
