Hazel Marie Poulos (A/K/A H. Marie Poulos), 76, was born in Hamburg, IA on July 25, 1902 to George Thomas Hayward and Samantha Ellen Judd Hayward. She died in Tulsa, OK at St. John Medical Center on December 4, 1978 of a heart attack. She was the mother of Oklahoma legislator William F. Poulos D-Tulsa, and grandmother of Tulsa Twisters professional rodeo team coach, Bill Poulos. She came to Tulsa in 1930. She was the widow of George Poulos, founder of Day and Night Cleaners in Tulsa. He died in 1961. She was a member of Nogales Avenue Baptist Church. Additional survivors include 4 other sons, Charles, Ted and Pete, all of Tulsa, OK and James of Dallas, TX; daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Landreth of Tulsa, OK; 15 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Service is 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 1978 at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK.
